Pat + Em / Retro 60's NYE Wedding

Don and Betty Draper could NEVER. Or maybe Priscilla and Elvis Presley? Lana Del Rey and, someone? Whichever, Pat and Emily were an absolute vision of retro beauty.

I simply couldn’t resist sharing this incredible wedding gallery at a venue I likely won’t have the opportunity to shoot at again….because it was for my cousins, and that’s pretty much the only way you can get me to drive to Sudbury in the middle of winter LOL.

New Year’s Eve weddings can be a bit controversial but I have always been a fan. What better way to ring in the new year than with your best friends, family, and an open bar? It was such an honour to be a part of this special day in some way. Pat and Emily infused so much of the things they love into their wedding day. With their first look at Knowhere Public House, wedding party photos at 46 North Brewing Co, and ceremony/reception at Science North. All places they’ve frequented and consider integral to their love story. They also made sure to incorporate music wherever possible, as the two of them are fantastic musicians themselves, and had a live band as well as a special surprise performance by THEIR band, The Cloves. Even my uncle got up to play for a bit.

I loved galavanting around Sudbury with them and their friends, only to meet up with my only family later on for the remainder of the celebration. Btw, if it looks like the Science Centre is IN some rocks, that’s because it is. To quote the website: “The main building is perched on top of Canadian Shield bedrock on the shores of Ramsey Lake. Inside, a rock tunnel shows evidence of an ancient meteorite impact, and a ramp spirals around glacially carved bedrock and a geological fault”. RAD, NO?
