Destination Weddings/Elopements

One of the most exciting things a photographer can experience is to share their craft in the many corners of the world.

Being trusted to come along and capture a couple’s love story in a place other than home is such an immense honour that it’s hard to put into words. I know to some it may seem superficial - “isn’t it basically a job with a vacation?” But truthfully it’s so much more. To shoot internationally requires not just a love of travel, but the awareness of responsibility of doing so. To take one’s skill, experience, and heart to a dropped pin somewhere on the globe is a whole different level. Each time I get to see a new place through a fresh set of eyes, I am enveloped in all the ways I can tell that story uniquely.

To elope or wed abroad is to say that your desire to celebrate in the way you’ve always dreamt of is so strong. It goes hand in hand with your sense of adventure, pull to uniqueness, and appreciation for all that is either different, or actually even more at home. Perhaps you want to get married in a destination you’ve always wanted to visit, a spot you’ve been many times, or one that pulls you towards a culture or nostalgia that represents you. Either way, let me tell you, it’s a dream. And I’d be happy to come for the ride.
